Kelley Briggs Mentors Entrepreneurs at Columbia University

Ossining, New York—(March 9, 2010) — Kelley Briggs, Principal and Executive Creative Director of Hudson Fusion LLC, has signed on to provide mentorship to students, alumni, and community entrepreneurs at The Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center at Columbia University in New York, New York. The program matches seasoned businesspeople with entrepreneurs in the essential areas of finance, operations and marketing as they develop their ideas and launch their ventures.
“It’s exciting and energizing to help guide these entrepreneurs as they get their businesses off the ground,” says Briggs. “They are at a critical point in realizing their dreams, and to be able to apply my experience to help them is tremendously fulfilling.”

Briggs has 25 years of industry experience in marketing, graphic design, advertising, and direct mail. She honed her skills through her work at various advertising and public relations agencies and corporate in-house marketing departments, working on prominent accounts such as American Express, Pitney Bowes, ESPN The Magazine, The New York Philharmonic, Citibank, Canon, DuPont and Mobil. She earned her BFA in graphic design at the State University of New York at Fredonia. She complemented her education with a six-month internship at CBS, Inc. in New York and continued her marketing and business education at New York University.

The mission of the Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center is to instill entrepreneurial thinking in Columbia Business School students and to create a community of business practitioners with a lifelong commitment to achieving social and economic progress through entrepreneurship.
